Training and assessment at the EMDRC in 2022 resulted in more success stories.
Success stories
We have had more success stories as Foundation courses re-start at the EMDRC club rooms since Covid restrictions have eased. AMC (Australian Maritime College) still require examiners to have been vaccinated and take appropriate diligence. We should do this in everyday life anyway. I have personally conducted over 150 licence assessments over the past 5 years. I’m still going strong while there is still a demand. Twenty-Six (26) assessment were conducted online during Covid lockdowns.
October 2022
In October, we ran a Foundation training course at the EMDRC club rooms and conducted assessments the following day.
We had:
- Five (5) Foundation candidates successful
- One (1) Standard to Advanced upgrade successful
November 2022
In November, I took the time to conduct some assessments for Standard candidates at the club. these were conducted on a Thursday morning during a normal opening. Lucky I was on leave at the time. One was a complete newcomer (involved conducting a practical assessment), one sat Regulations as well, and the other had already passed their Regulations.
We had:
- Three (3) Standard candidates successful

What do I need to know to pass a Foundation assessment?
So that we have even more success stories to tell, everything you need to know to pass a Foundation Licence assessment is presented on my website. Start here: Foundation Course – VK3PH and work through all pages to the end.
The site is kept up to date on a regular basis. It has been aligned with the Foundation syllabus and ongoing changes made by the ACMA to licensing and regulations.
December 2022
We usually conduct a Foundation course between Christmas and New Year. This year is no exception.
- Foundation course scheduled for Wed 28 Dec
- Assessments scheduled for Thu 29 Dec (no Thu morning group this day)
- Request an Assessment – VK3PH
Update 31/12/2022: All candidates were successful as expected!
